Dear List: I have been very fortunate the past few years in not having the flu or a bad cold. I normally feel very well. I have Prostate Cancer and I take a well-balanced assortment of vitamins and supplements. I take Flax Oil/Cottage Cheese on a regular basis. Twice a year I go on a juice fast for 8 days followed by the program prescribed by Larry Clapp's "Prostate Health in 90 Days" book. I'm 67 and work 40 hours a week doing Autobody work. Plus we have a few cleaning jobs to help offset the cost of vitamins and supplements. Recently I became interested in the use of CS and purchased a generator along with a PPM tester and a laser light. I start with DW measuring 1.1 on the tester. My finished CS measures around 6.5 PPM. It is very clear. The TE is very good. Before I made my own CS we were buying concentrate CS. One small bottle is marked as being 500 PPM. It's too small an amount to test with my tester. Another bottle, a larger one is marked as being 30 PPM. I tested it and my tester read 55 PPM. We have another 'spray bottle' marked at 10 PPM. I have been putting 10 drops from the 500 PPM bottle for two months. Recently I started to spray my throat at night and morning with the 10 PPM.
A week ago I started to take a swallow or two in the morning and the same at night desisting with the other CSs. This past week from Thursday on I have all the symptoms of a light flu or heavy cold. My sinuses are building up, my chest feels heavy and I am very weak. I have a good appetite and other functions OK. How could it be that after many years I get this condition after taking all the precautions I know of? Or am I experiencing the HERX reaction? I thought that by using CS for some time via the drops and spray that the HERX reaction wouldn't bother me. Maybe I'm wrong in that area. If someone can give me some input on this, please let me know. Probably the list would like to know also. I'm probably not the only one to experience this. Sorry for the long message!
