Thanks

Terry- I had a miscarriage 16 years ago while taking lysine from the
beginning of my pregnancy. The baby was not growing at the right rate- at
16 weeks it was the size of a 12 week old baby, then it died around the
time that I had an ultrasound. I have had 3 other babies and that
pregnancy was different- I felt very tired and drained. Anyway, some time
later I read somewhere that lysine could cause miscarriages. Of course
since I had no other explanation for what went wrong, I tended to believe
the lysine had something to do with it but I have no proof. Unfortunately,
I can't remember that far back where I read it about lysine. I just
searched Google.com and didn't come up with anything but will keep trying.
I think better safe than sorry, though I can understand a pregnant woman
wanting to have something to use against a herpes outbreak. I would think
using something near full term would be very different in effect than in
the beginning of a pregnancy, as at term the baby would be much less
vulnerable.
