Hi,

I`m new to this list, and I`m wondering if anyone can help me with some
information, please.

I have an 18 month old Miniature Schnauzer, who is expecting her first litter
of pups in 2 and ahalf weeks.
She has just been diagnosed with struvite crystals in her urine, and my vet has
advised against treating her at this stage, so as not to compromise the
puppies. She said that we can deal with the crystals after the puppies are
born.

I`m not feeling very comfortable with this advice, and have suggested that
maybe Vit C could be used to acidify her urine. The vet said that I should not
do that, because it would affect the puppies.

My girl had an ultrasound yesterday, and at this stage there are no stones to
be seen and the pups are looking good.

It occurred to me, that perhaps Colloidal Silver may be of some benefit.
How, I have no idea - but from the little I have learned about CS I have
realised that there is so much more that I DON`T know.

Can anyone tell me, if it might be beneficial to give my girl CS? And if so,
in what doses and for how long?

Cheers!
Karen
