I'm new to CS usage and have just been trying it on sore throats with good success. However, for instant numbing of a painful sore throat, a good quality Echinacea tincture has a natural numbing ability that will kill sore throat pain instantly and also kill germs, and Goldenseal tincture is a powerful antibiotic that can be used with the Echinacea or separately. Perhaps alternating these with the CS would make the sore throat go away faster and more painlessly.
I am prone to sinus infections as a complication of colds, and since taking CS and using CS drops in my nose, I haven't had any sinus infections.
