When we was going for treatment, the vets needle *slipped* and hit some of the muscle in my dog's leg. This caused the skin to burn away, and for the rest of his life, my dog was left with a 3 inch by 3 inch spot that sporadically became raw. When it did so, we would wrap it with gauze (as per our vet) and let it heal (this was pre-CS of course *smile*). A few years ago I was working for a veterinarian pathologist who told me not to worm with the heart worm preventative, as studies she had been a part of were indicating that they could be cancer causing. She also told me that should my dogs come down with heart worm, to simply THEN feed the pills until they eliminated the worms. What I have done for the past few years is worm them once a month for two months and leave it at that. I try to focus on feeding organic and keeping them healthy by not allowing them to drink from stagnant water, and spritzing essential oils on them to keep mosquitos and flies away. I do give them silver weekly, and do a monthly distilled water detox, followed by a larger dose of silver, and a liquid mineral/electrolite complex. Love that silver! :) Heather (who has not introduced herself to the group, yet!) -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
