Heather, This is wonderful information. I will keep this and talk to my Vet who is really open to working with individual dogs and their owners. She also feeds her dogs raw meaty bones and vegetables.
So, if I understand, you give them heart worm pills for two months only (one a month). And when you say "larger dose of CS" how much is that? What mineral/electrolite complex? A lot of owners in our greythound group only give their pups the heartworm meds in the summer. We travel a lot and I was afraid in the hotter climates I would compromise them. My greythounds are 65 and 85 lbs. They are very healthy with beautiful coats from the raw diet. Being greythounds, they are inside dogs as their skin is so thin they can't tolerate high heat or severe cold so I do monitor what they do when they are outside. Do you vaccinate yours for rabies? Thanks, Bobbye P.S. I'm new to the group as I just joined two days ago. So welcome from a "newbie." ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, April 06, 2002 6:09 PM Subject: Re: CS>THE BIG SCAM--RABIES VACCINATION > In a message dated 4/6/02 6:08:15 PM Eastern Standard Time, > [email protected] writes: > > << I will not give mine anything but heart worm pills if I can get > by with it.
