Bobbye,
I am in Northern NJ, where the majority of heat is in July and August. June
isn't so bad. I am not sure what I will do this year, as we have a problem
with West Nile here, and I don't want to run the risk of compromising them. I
have to think on that. :)
** And when you say "larger dose of CS" how much is that? What
mineral/electrolite complex? ***
The complex I use is a liquid form I get from my DR. It is available only
though medical professionals. The company is called Thorne Research. The does
I give is 1.5X the maintenance dose for their weights, as per my holistic vet.
**We travel a lot and I was
afraid in the hotter climates I would compromise them.**
This could be a problem. Being in a climate where we don't have a mosquito
and fly problem year around, I *just don't * like the idea of keeping them on
it year around. If you are traveling, you may need to take into consideration
the climate. I always feed acidophullus and silver, to keep the immune system
healthy and strong.
**Do you vaccinate yours for rabies?**
I run a titer on my dogs, its costly, but worth it. I usually give them a
rabies shot every three years or so. Also have a lab in PA that runs
something called a BNA (Bio Nutritional....something...hehe, cant remember
that last word. Its essentially to determine what nutrients might be lacking
in their diets. Good stuff.

Sorry if this is too far of topic. I am really enjoying the info on Silver.
Great list!
Heather
