I may have missed the original post on this topic.
  Unless the animal is a cat or toy breed of dog, Tea Tree oil externally
and CS taken orally, is VERY effective against ringworm. Use the Tea Tree in
the shampoo for the pet, and then in a bowl of water poured over and
massaged into the fur and skin in the final rinse.
  Cats and toy breeds of dogs are not supposed to have Tea Tree used on them
because of the way their systems metabolize....cats and toys have known to
get very ill and/or die from using Tea Tree Oil on them.
  Sunlight is also effective to help kill the fungal infection.
