Hiya Nancy, I've been using homemade 10-15PPM CS in regular spray-type plastic nose drop dispensers for the past several months. Several sprays in each nostril are required to achieve the same results as a single spray of regular nose drops, but, since switching to using CS this way, the number of colds I used to get has been reduced dramatically.
I don't know about CS as nose drops helping a serious cough, though. If it were me, I'd use CS in a nebulizer or atomizer of some kind.
