I often add MSM to CS---to the point of saturation---and it does not turn
black.  Perhaps it is a function of monatomic dissolved silver vs
particulate.

Turning black is a well known phenomenon. "eggs & silverware" type.
Sulpher (MSM) and silver(CS is highly reactive because of particle size)
will react very quickly and become unavailable.
