Using 20 to 30 volts (3, 9-volt batteries in series or a wall-wart DC
supply) and 8 ounces of distilled water should produce about 5 to 10
ppm CS in about 1/2 hour.  Some people use a pinch of baking soda or
salt to speed up the process (it allows more current to flow) -- but I
wouldn't.  Adding anything to the water can produce other chemicals
you may not want (silver chloride, for example).
