I swished CS because my mouth was full of Amalgam fillings. Mercury swells when it is hot and contracts when it is cold, guaranteed to produce cracks between the filling and tooth where germs can hide and breed. I thought the CS would help seal these cracks. My front tooth with a new untreated cavity that I did not know was there was sealed with CS and looked silver, really stood out. When the Dentist stuck a needle in it, it was like a rotten apple with the outside part silver and inside like jelly. The silver streaks were still showing in the stub when the dentist cut the tooth and shaped it for a crown. The CS penetrated deep inside the tooth. It is now covered by a crown. Brickey
