I think James is responding to an off-list message I sent to several of the principals in the recent "Glad Cow syndrome" thread, most of which I've included below for everyone else to consider. So far the "input" from the OT list has been extremely light, and you can always just visit the web site periodically to see what's up. > I will be grateful if someone will send me the URL, off list, of > course. Two clicks will get you to the OT list... Click on the web site address at the bottome of *every* silver list message: http://www.silverlist.org and then click on the "Off Topic List" link in the left hand frame. There you'll see the links "To Post" and "Archives." I am mulling a site redesign that will put all the stuff we use most for both lists right on the front page . That'll streamline this whole thing. James, your input is valuable and appreciated. Be well, friend, Mike Devour silver-list owner >>>>>>Begin included message... Bulges of OT stuff like this are at least partially responsible for fluctuations in the number of lurkers. We've probably lost a net 8-10 members over the duration of this thread... most of whom probably are folks who never posted. A couple indicated in their unsubscribe messages that they were unable to handle all of the messages. I don't intend to stomp on things that are valuable to you folks, the active members. In that sense the list is yours to use. But I've never felt comfortable abandoning those unknowns who we may be able to help but never know it. One way or another, I think we can start to get the OT list working in a way that helps us all. At least I hope so. Feel free, at any time, to post something to the Off Topic list AND a heads-up to the main list, saying: "Hey, I posted something on the OT list I'd like to get your comments on!" Let's see how that works! All that said, do not hesitate to continue to use either list for what you *need.* Barb, you've been mining us for information like crazy. That's wonderful and I want you to keep doing it. Instructions for everything are at the web site, though it's high time I revise that thing again and make it easier to use... <grrr> Love you folks, and I thank you for sharing this path with me.
