Dear List Members,
I have hesitated to comment on the discourse
relating to the desireability of ionic vs particulate preparations of
silver. I remain of the same intention. However, for those of you
interested in preparations containing a greater portion of particulate
silver.......we observed, long ago, that the simple occurrence of
agglomeration raises the particulate proportion. The challenge here,
being that controlling the aggregate size is, usually, beyond the
capability of the usual layman (both from a knowledge and an equipment
basis). However, there IS a simple visual indication of particle size
increase revealed during the generation of Low-voltage (40 vdc or less)
colloidal silver----that being the color appearances/variations. As a
general rule, the more pronounced the yellow-gold in the spectrum, the
larger the particles. As the color spectrum continues to deepen.....and
alter the colors (e.g. reddish, brown, etc.), the particle size is
progressively increasing.
While we have not encountered any
physiologically-challenging conditions resulting from ingestion of
quite large particles (e.g. 250 nm) in our animal
researches/experimental protocols.......this does not preclude others
experiencing different results.
It has been our experience.....possibly at variance from
that of others----that high-percentage particulate silver has produced
the superior results in protocols addressing "topical wounds and
ulcers". Not only have we experienced a somewhat more rapid response,
but superior "residual effects"-----most especially in cases where
wound-surface dessication has presented after the bandage has dried.
It has been our experience that, generally, LVDC-
generated, light to medium gold-colored preparations contain acceptable
particulate concentrations (provided HIGH quality distilled water is
utilized as the liquid parent). Tyndall intensity, as revealed by a
simple laser check.......also reveals the increasing particulate
presence.
We have been unable to generate a colloidal silver
preparation---no matter how discolored (or where in the color spectrum
it presents)-----that has failed to be effective against external
wounds/insults.
These comments are, simply, some observations and are
delivered for your reflection ONLY. I have neither the time nor
inclination to become embroiled in speculative/adversarial exchanges.
Sincerely, Brooks
Bradley.
p.s. We have been unable to establish a superiority of one type over
the other (ionic vs particulate) in our drinking-water
protocols/evaluations for pets and livestock-----or in the surviving
pathogen counts of the respective liquid materials furnished to them
"free-choice".
