Highly concentrated DMSO engenders a "heat-release" reaction when diluted with most fluids....especially water. *************************** Now you tell me:-). Recently I decided to try a 50/50 mix of DMSO and CS on sore thumb joints - I poured a quantity of DMSO into a container and then added an an equal amount of water - WRONG!!! I didn't know that the combination was hygroscopic. I thought the damn stuff was going to climb up out of the glass, -- it reacts the same as acid and water when you add the water to the acid. Will adding DMSO to water reduce the reaction? Jack
