Rosemary celebrates all the time because she has the ear of the
conventional medical community, and possesses a fact-proof
denial system. Despite opportunites to explore the issue, her
supporters and she cling to that which they want to believe.
It's not unlike what is happening here where people automatically
discredit the story about the senatorial candidate without thorough
research into the story.
How can we be critical of others' lack of willingness to make
scientific inquiries when we will have the same kind of knee-jerk
reactions to a story that appears to threaten our belief system?
If I was still in the exploratory phase of considering CS and
using this list as a resource to factual information, I would begin
doubting the information here because of the emotional response
to this news story. I would be wondering if all that is talked about
here is based upon what people WANT to be true instead of what
may actually BE true.
