Tom:

I've designated myself to communicate with you regarding the case of Stan
Jones, Libertarian candidate for Senator from Montana, who has a
self-induced skin condition known as argyria. For the record, I am a
retired U.S. daily newspaper editor -- Oceanside, CA North County Times from
1968-92. (I served as state editor of the Star-Tribune in Casper, Wyo.
from 1965-7, close to your neck of the woods.)

I am also a daily consumer of colloidal silver (CS) which is the substance
which caused Jones' skin condition, and have been for almost six years. I
have been researching it for five years, because of its history, and the
effort to suppress knowledge of it by the FDA, and the pharmaceutical
cartels. (I won't go into the history of CS or details of it here, but will
if you want.) I am a member of an internet group known as the Silver List
([email protected]) where about 200 folks from all over the world
exchange information about it, and how it is best made and best used.

Members of the list, including myself, are upset about this negative
information about CS being so widely disseminated by the U.S. news media
because it gives the FDA more ammunition with which to suppress CS.

There has been a good deal of traffic on our list in the last two weeks
about the article, and the accompanying photos. We feel there has been
intentional manipulation of the color balance of the Jones photo which was
distributed with the article. We have viewed other recent photos of Jones,
and he appears pink and healthy instead of sickly blue-gray.

We don't think you are the source of all of it, but since you are the origin
of it, I'm communicating with you. I was unable to read your original
article, which was off-post by the time we received your weblink, but did
read the second item. Hence, I do not know if your newspaper printed the
very blue photo of Jones, or whether it came from some other news source in
Montana.

Can you provide us with your insight into this situation, how your column it
em was picked up and distributed nationally. and provide us with your
knowledge of the source of the very blue mugshot of Jones which accompanied
the article on AP? Also, since you must have had personal contact with
Jones, can you tell us how he appeared to you, in person, as compared to
the blue photo? He appears normal and healthy in all other photos we have
seen.

There has been much finger-pointing on our CS list accusing the media of
perpetrating a "hoax" by purposely distributing a doctored photo made to
appear much bluer than Jones appears in all other recent photos. Based on
my 30 years of daily newspaper experience, much of it involving photography,
I have to agree. That blue photo looks doctored. As the only former media
person on the CS list, I've had to bear much media-bashing over this, and we
want to get to the bottom of it.

FYI, Jones has provided us with information which indicates he broke
several cardinal rules about the preparation of CS -- namely using
high-mineral content tap water, and an improper battery arrangement. Had he
followed the standard OP, it would be highly unlikely that he would have
contracted argyria.

Properly produced CS is safe to use, does not cause arygria, (which is NOT
dangerous, just unslightly) and is the cheapest, most effective
anti-bacterial substance on the planet, better than any antibiotic. And
most importantly, CS does not cause bacteria to mutate into resistant forms.
CS kills all bacteria, very quickly and extremely cheaply. That's why the
pharmaceutical cartels and the FDA don't want knowledge of CS to become
widespread.

Please respond when you have time, and provide us all the data possible.
You can respond directly to me: [email protected] or to the
[email protected] . Many thanks for your time, and we'll be looking
forward to hearing your response.

Regards,

Bill Missett
