I believe the "Shack" is cutting way back on their small parts. It's no 
surprise they've stopped carrying wire wrap sockets. They still have 
the 30 dollar "party strobes" people use to make mag pulsers, at least! 
<grin> Gotta try that one of these days, too.

I recall that Hulda's directions suggest building the Zapper in a shoe 
box, basically. I agree with the suggestion that you buy a prototyping 
breadboard of modest size and learn how to use it. You can wire up this 
circuit with a few pieces of solid wire and some battery clips, and 
still take it apart or make changes or additions later if you want to.

You can still put it in any old box if you like, but it'll end up being 
more reliable.

For detailed help, may I suggest a tutorial sesson on the 
[email protected]? Many here are fully able to give you 
a hand, I'm sure.
