I've got to agree with Laura on this one.

Aspartame has gotten a lot of play lately. If you are worried about it, go
back to sugar. If that makes you fat, put the fork down. If your lungs hurt,
quit smoking. If your liver hurts, quit drinking. If you are stoned all of
the time... where was I? oh yeah, all things in moderation...

When people complain about something, the government gets involved and
regulates it if they can't tax it or make money off of it. I used to be able
to drive a motorcycle without a helmet. I got over 50 miles on a gallon of
gas. Can't do that any more. Now the roads are clogged up with fat soccer
moms and sad excuses for men who drive around in SUV's and minivans that get
less than 20 miles on a gallon of gas.

"Everyone is assessed through increased taxes or health insurance premiums"
doesn't hold water. If we had socialized medical care it might. I pay the
long buck for health care and probably won't be able to afford that much
longer. Try going to a hospital without insurance and see what kind of care
you get. If you get any care at all, they bill you, whether you can afford it
or not, not the government.

Sorry about the rant. I know this is OT and only posted because of all of the
aspartame posts.

I don't agree with this logic.  That old argument has been used justify the

stripping away of many people's rights.  The same case could be used against
you:  "Marshall there are risks involved when you use alternative remedies
that have not been approved by the FDA.  If it should not work out then the
rest of us will have to pay for your recklessness.  Therefore, you must stop
or risk fines and imprisonment."  And if you really believe what you've
written, then you should be insisting that McDonald's and Burger King be
outlawed immediately.

People can ingest whatever they like and they'll get no trouble from me.  I

will share what I've learned whenever there is an opening to do so, but it is

none of my business what people eat or drink or inhale.
