When I get a cold in the nose, it has a specially lovely place to breed, and drinking CS may not reach it well. I use 10 ppm CS in a nose dropper, and snuffle in about 5 drops per nostril every 15 minutes. Usually the cold is gone in 2 hours of such application. The timing is crucial. Any less often and I find the virus has a chance to get a footing(sic) again.
