Hi Paula,

*ANY* coin, medallion, ingot, or wire that is at least .999 pure is 
*GREAT* for making colloidal silver.

Regular "silver" coins that you carry around in your pocket and get as
change at the grocery store have not contained any silver at all since 
the mid-1960's. Before that, they were only about 90% silver, which 
means *WAY* too many impurities to use for making CS.

Any bullion coin that's .999 pure or better will work. Let's see, the
US mints the Silver Eagle, 1 oz coin, right? The Canadians make the
Maple Leaf, I think. There are any number of other 1 ounce .999 pure or
better silver pieces that the coin dealer will be able to point you to.

It shouldn't be any more complicated than that.
