Hi Trem,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I was making larger
batches for a family pet who unfortunately died (not
from the cs). He was suffering from a fungal
infection in his ears that had not responded to
medication.

I will go back to making smaller batches as you
suggested and I'm sure this will prevent the floaters,
hence no need to filter. Thanks for the refresher
course. I purchased my model over a year ago and to
be honest, lost the accompanying instructions.
Perhaps this thread will encourage others out there to
occasionally review their techniques for making cs.

Best,
D.

>>>Hi Donna,

We do not recommend making over a quart at a time
unless you stop during the process and clean the
electrodes because the negative one will pick up
too much elemental silver from the water and do 2
things. It will inhibit production as it sometimes
acts as an insulator. And some of it will most
likely come loose during production and probably cause
what you are talking about...particles that may sink
or float...depending on the circumstance. I
suspect you're talking about floaters. I also suspect
you're trying to make it as strong as possible and at
the same time trying to make as much as
possible at one time. Correct?

Stick to a pint or quart or get the grande' unit and
make 5 gallons at a time if you really need high
volume quantities.

A lower order mold is like the ones growing on your
bathtub and so on. A higher order one could be a
mushroom. Both are molds. I'm not sure
where CS draws the line at killing molds.

We still don't recommend filtering. Makes the CS
agglomerate in many cases.so why bother.
