The dog weighs 50 LBS.>> If you're referring to the article in a recent issue of Discover magazine... it would have been 200mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid and 500mg of Acetyl-L-Carnitine. Without the article in front of me, I could be wrong, but I was thinking they were using those dosages either 2 or 3 times a day. Even at three doses a day, you're still well within the safe range for both supplements. There are a couple companies now, who are marketing supplements containing both ingredients. NSI for example, has one that is 300mg of ALA and 500mg of ALC together in one capsule. FWIW, Mike
