A little strep story.

A friend of mine, a 'non believer' [scoffer] was complaining of a sore
throat, so I gave him a little bottle of cs and a sprayer to keep in his
pocket and told him to spray his throat several times a day and sip the CS
now and then.
A day or so later he says, Hey! That stuff doesn't work! I still got sick!

k Oh, Is your throat sore?
m Well, no.

k OK, what's the beef? What do you have that made you sick?

m Uh, I went camping with a bunch of people and they all got strep.

k How are they doing?

m All in bed about to die and taking massive doses of antibiotics.

k ..and you?

m I don't feel very good.

k But you're here at work, right? [construction job] You're not half dead?
Ya know, you could have told me you had strep and I'da given you a quart
rather than a few OZs.

A few days pass..
 k How ya doin?

m What do you mean?

k how are your friends?

m Still adout dead in bed.

k And you?

m What do you mean?

k OK, cool
