Hi:
To remove all color from messages background in Netscape 6.2.
Go to : Edit
select Preferences
Open Appearance (Click on little triangle)
Select: Color
In text select: Black
In Background select: White
Click on Use my choice of colors ... ( Little dot appears inside circle)
Click on OK
