Regarding Type II diabetes:
I've never found NIDDM difficult to avoid. I have it on both sides of my family, and 3 younger siblings also have it (I'm 47). But our eating habits are very different. The vast majority of my carbohydrates come from vegetables. Perhaps twice a week, I'll eat a small portion of WHOLE grains (pastas don't count as whole grains. White rice and most brown rice don't either. A whole grain is a grain that can be made into edible form without mechanical processing). I go light on the fruit, and eat 5 raw almonds daily. I rarely eat sugar - maybe once every other month, and eat only fresh foods (prepared or packaged foods are chock full of sweeteners and hydrogenated fats). I am quite overweight (a longstanding family genetics thing), with thyroid and adrenal problems and a blood sugar that is very normal and stable. Finally, I drink plenty of fresh, clean water devoid of fluoride. Regards, Catherine -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
