The use of silver maple leafs clipped onto a glass with alligator clips is
not a good idea.  Water will condense onto the alligator clips and
electrolysis will take place yielding colloidal tin and cadmium.  The
bubbler will only exacerbate this..  Silver Maple leafs are an excellent
source of 9999 silver and I used them before getting my 9999 wire.  I
drilled holes in them and suspended them with 999 silver wires.
