Well, that's why so many of us buy generators with current limiting and auto shut off. Without those, every batch will be different, as no matter how much you try you will never eliminate all the variables. And without current limiting you had better be there and watch the process (don't burn your house down). EVen with my silverpuppy generator with auto off and current limiting and thermal stirring, and the same DW, etc, etc. every batch takes a slightly different amount of time. That said, I just made a one gallon batch with a homemade set up, very pure DW (.3uS) and 15 inch (wetted) looped .9999silver wire electrodes, 9 volt DC converter, and the fish bubbler. It took 5 hours to get to 2.2uS, and I let it run until the current reached 5 ma (multimeter). At that point it was 15.8 uS, approx 18ppm, with extremely faint TE, and the total time was 9 hrs 40 min. I cleaned the electrodes every couple hours. paula ----- Original Message ----- From: INGRID KROPP-OVERSTREET
I remember someone asking how to make your own distilled water. well I found this during my search to find a ppm time table. if any one happens to know how long I should make my CS with 112OZ of water with 27 volts and an air bubbler. please tell me.
