Hi, I just tried generating CS using a little solar panel that has variable output from 6-12 volts and has alligator clips coming from it. I put it in a sunny window, hooked the alligator clips onto silver wires hung into a jar of distilled water, but we were visiting and went off sight-seeing and left it all day. That evening, I have a TDS meter and it said 9 ppm and the CS produced was a golden yellow, looking like urine. There was blackish gunk hanging off one electrode and some silver plating on the glass under the electrode. The question is, does this process generate acceptable quality CS and at what stage should it be stopped, by looking at it without a meter, since I left it with my son and took my meter with me. I also have a solar panel with alligator clips but not the same one, and will try a run with it when I can test it at intervals. How would the particle size etc. come out with this process?
