I use an LM317 regulator setup in constant current mode. I use a 1k feedback resister from vout to adj and take my positive voltage off of adj. I get my negative straight from the power supply. The 1k resister will get you a constant current of 1.7ma. Play with the value of the resister to adjust it to whatever current you desire. The LM317 are 52 cents a piece at Digikey here: http://rocky.digikey.com/scripts/ProductInfo.dll?Site=US&V=14&M=LM317LZ

I am generating my CS with 17 V DC power supply, but have to constantly monitor the current to keep it down. Does anyone know where I can find a circuit diagram of whatever it takes to make this a constant current, as the CS resistance goes down it will automatically keep the current down at a preset level so I don't have to monitor it.

Thanks
Jim
