There may be some types of acne which are difficult to control but I would not discourage people from trying it. I am 53 years old and have had acne for 40 of those years. A continual source of discomfort. I started taking CS last year and within 2 weeks of using externally and internally my face was clear and had remained so until I stopped using it to see what would happen. They returned. This is not a definitive answer to your question but I am happy with my outcome.

I don't think so unless your acne is not chronic but
rather some acute skin infection.

Acne, generally, is not caused by microbes. Microbes
only feed on sebum secretion, which is regulated by
hormones. Then the immune system attacks the microbes
and causes inflammation that looks like pimples.

Look deeper into causes of acne, and then you will be
able to cure it. Often it's related to GI problems and
hormonal imbalance. And these, in turn, can be caused
by variety of things: chronic stress, poor diet, EFA
imbalance, etc.

Hormonal imbalance often occurs during puberty, and
once this period is over, hormones frequently
rebalance. But even during that time, many people
observe dramatic improvement by dropping all refine
carbohydrates from their diet, and sometimes even
reducing carb consumption altogether.
