I think this is where Toronto got into trouble with WHO in that they are reporting all deaths of suspected and probable together as being SARS deaths. There is a difference between SARS DEATHS and SARS RELATED DEATHS. This led to an inaccurate mortality rate of close to 10%. This report led WHO to post the travel warning. 10% is fairly high but I believe the method of calculation to be wrong! So now they are doing a rethink, after the fact.
Too bad. Elton John and Billy Joel cancelled their show today at the Air Canada Center. They are culturally rich and we would have benefitted from haveing them here.
