There was one study that I am familiar with that indicates that metal ions that are normally blocked from crossing the blood brain barrier, will cross if in the citrate form. It did not address silver at all, but the thinking is that better safe than sorry, since other soruces indicate that silver is normally blocked by the barrier. In both cases there I have been unable to find any really good documentation to support or refute.
