  I don't know why they would have told you that.  My doc checked mine two 
years ago at 110 and that was fine.  

  I found this about levels.  Even if you had fasted before taking the test  
your level would not have indicated diabetes:

A fasting glucose level is higher than 126 mg/dL on two occasions 
A random glucose level is higher than 200 mg/dL and is accompanied by the

A glucose level higher than 200 mg/dL is recorded 2 hours after drinking a 
standardized carbohydrate beverage (glucose tolerance test)
