Perhaps you underestimate the power of denial?
I have seen many 'not stupid' people resist seeing the obvious quite
successfully when doing so might change the world they live in.
The more someone is "paid to know", the less likely they are to admit
[even to themselves] that they don't.
These people..and most doctors..virtually any "professional" are paid to
know and all their information comes from 'channels of the hierarchy', so,
'not knowing' is a threat to their very status as a professional. No
"layman" can enlighten them without threatening their self supposed
superiority and sense of being needed.
The only way such a structure changes is when the grass roots become so
prevalent that they must grow into the brains of the hierarchy from the
top. Then 'suddenly' there is a light that goes off, source denied and it
all starts to filter downwards.
Case in point. Most of the commercial drugs we have today have their
source in old wives tales and common useage of herbal remedies. The
'professionals' didn't figure out 'what' worked, they figured out
'why'..and how to synthisize or extract so they could claim credit for the
brain storm and hold themselves up as the Gods of the day.
Old wives are ignorant because they didn't know 'why'...only what.
..and, of course, no professional is going to have an idea that puts him
out of business. The power of godhood depends on it's not being shared.
So, it doesn't have to be meanness. A lot of it is just the human nature
of ego logic. [ If I'm right 'here'...if I'm wrong anywhere..I'm wrong
everywhere. I'm being paid to be right...by YOU. All it takes is one
little slip and you'll stop paying me.]
What is it that makes a person 'want' to rise to such heights? Well, a
good strong ego, of course! [Ego, insecurity and denial of that insecurity
all go hand in hand..so...the 'strength of ego' is actually a denial of
weakness...a delusion of power]
True strength, true power, doesn't even know it exists. If it really is
what it is, it has no need to know.
If you want your boss to use an idea, you must plant it where it can be
found and let it be his idea. Hammers only make a hard head harder.
In the meantime, you do what works.... quietly. There are giants in this
land..and as many cracks in the sidewalk for the little people to run
around in untouched by giants. [They are so big, they can't even see most
of the cracks..the sidewalk might look a bit 'crazed' but at that height,
no cracks can be discerned]
When a crack gets big enough to trip a giant, they, of course, get pissed
off and deny their own clumbsiness. [If you manage to trip a giant...run
like hell!]
Giants are no smarter than anyone else. They just grew bigger
heads. Being so top heavy makes a person pretty scared of falling
over. So, they are naturally defensive and can't see much...head in the
clouds and all.
PS Size is relative.
There's always a faster gun and it's usually in the hands of someone who
doesn't know he's holding it.
Word to the wise. If you shoot, use a silencer and duck. Otherwise, you
too might grow big in the eyes of the masses. Recognition makes a good
target for a fine backlash.
ie: Plant seeds and jump back.
A frontal attack is a magnet to a big boot.

Do note how assiduously the FDA carefully AVOIDED the
use of wording that would include "unadultered or uncompounded,
electrically-generated colloidal silver". They may be
mean-spirited.....they ARE NOT stupid.
Additionally, since colloidal silver is a "grandfathered"
(in general use as an accepted medical agent PRIOR to the empowerment of
the FDA), the FDA faces a most difficult task in keeping it out of the
hands of the general public.....but not-so-difficult in preventing the
SALE of colloidal silver by commercial business interests. We have
attempted to engage them in meaningful dialog, repeatedly, without any
success whatsoever. They KNOW the truth of the matter, but are confidant
they can.....legally.....SPIN their way along and produce enough of a
"fog-factor" to divert the general public's attention------as they have,
so far, successfully done.
Attempting to deny the American public easy access to
this splendid health-aid...........is criminal in the extreme. At least
that is my studied opinion. Sincerely, Brooks

FDA ISSUES FINAL RULE ON
OTC DRUG PRODUCTS CONTAINING COLLOIDAL SILVER
The FDA has issued a Final Rule declaring that all over- the-counter
(OTC) drug products containing colloidal silver or silver salts are not
recognized as safe and effective and are misbranded.Colloidal silver is a
suspension of silver particles in a colloidal (gelatinous) base. In
recent years, colloidal silver preparations of unknown formulation have
been appearing in stores. These products are labeled to treat adults and
children for diseases including HIV, AIDS, cancer, tuberculosis, malaria,
lupus, syphilis, scarlet fever, shingles, herpes, pneumonia, typhoid,
tetanus and many others.
According to the Final Rule, a colloidal silver product for any drug use
will first have to be approved by FDA under the new drug application
procedures. The Final rule classifies colloidal silver products as
misbranded because adequate directions cannot be written so that the
general public can use these drugs safely for their intended purposes.
They are also misbranded when their labeling falsely suggests that there
is substantial scientific evidence to establish that the drugs are safe
and effective for their intended uses.
The indiscriminate use of colloidal silver solutions has resulted in
cases of argyria, a permanent blue-gray discoloration of the skin and
deep tissues.
Colloidal silver ingredients and silver salts include silver proteins,
mild silver protein, strong silver protein, silver chloride, and silver
iodide. The dosage form of these colloidal silver products is usually
oral, but product labeling also contains directions for topical and,
occasionally, intravenous use.
In reaching its decision, FDA considered all of the information described
in the proposed rule (October 15, 1996) and submitted by the public in
response to that proposal, the Final Rule becomes effective on September
16, 1999, 30 days after publication.
