The fascinating work of Y. Omura, MD, shows without a doubt the cause of
many post-accident neurological problems is the buildup of various
pathogens in the brain.   Simple techniques to stimulate uptake of
medicines to the brain, and natural medicines including fish oil and
cilantro, can work wonders.  Many abstracts are available online.  I
would be willing to bet that an Omura-trained MD could help solve this
boy's problems.
