  Hi Marshall,

  Your assumption  is correct - an email client  should  prepend "Re:"
  when replying to an email.

  However, when  you receive the digest, it is impractical to  use the
  Reply button.  The easiest method is to copy the desired  message to
  an editor and add your comments.

  Now you  have to send it as an email to eskimo. Since this is  a new
  email, the Subject line is blank.

  However, if  you simply copy the old subject line from the  post and
  paste it  into  the  Subject line of the  email  client,  the eskimo
  server is smart enough to link it to the proper thread.
