Set the meter on DCA 20m [That's 90% clockwise from off] Hook up the wires in series. Gen out to meter / meter out to one electrode. If you get a [ - ] reading, switch the meter wires.
Pulling 3 ma in 16 oz of water can be instant or take hours and hours depending on how good or bad the water is.
You probably want a 3 ma "difference" in reading between start and stop. ken At 12:54 PM 4/29/2003 -0500, you wrote:
Woo Hoo!! I got my generator yesterday. I also got a multimeter from Harbor Freight. It is a Cen-Tech P30756. I want to connect it inline with the generator like Ole Bob says and watch the currents. Thing is I know nothing about these meters. Could someone instruct me on where to set the dial on the meter so I can see ma. Bob says to let it run till it hits like 3ma but all I get is a 1 or a -1 all the way to the far left of the read out even after a few hours. So I am doing something wrong apparently. But at least I am making 16oz at a time now instead on 8 and am looking for a nice 32oz mason jar. :) Jeff -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
