Jeff,
There are many other things that you could try for
these headaches. First of all, the meds- even OTC can
cause rebound headaches. I know from experience- I
took tylenol for 25 years without knowing about
rebound headaches. The meds can make the headache even
worse, and whenever you don't take something for the
headache, you get a headache- vicious cycle! Also, I
found that food additives, caffeine, beer, wine and
most drugs caused me to have headaches. Deli meats
have nitrites, and then there's MSG etc. Try eating
only pure food and leave out all the migraine triggers
like aged cheese, chocolate, etc. Putting an ice pack
on the back of your neck while having a warm foot bath
is also good- it makes the blood move away from the
head. There's an herb called feverfew that works for
some people and then you could try different
homeopathic formulas too. Each person is different.
Look into food allergies- do a food elimination diet
and slowly add back food one at a time to see if
something triggers the headaches. It takes some work,
but it's worth it. Relief is out there.
