One of the ways to reduce voltage is to put more cells in parallel. My CS battery supply of 19 volts went down to 13 volts with 4 cells in parallel. The amount of current a battery will supply seems almost unlimited when the draw from CS is so limited. In fact the best battery CS should be made from only a single 9 volt connected to at least three 12 oz cells in parallel for a while...
I would try a variac and a NST also... One of the great assumptions that cause and effect engage is the total law encompassing both. Ordinarily we are trained to ignore this law. but a NST with a secondary current limited to 30 ma on short does that at 120 volts input. Comparably then same NST @ 4 volts input via variac should enable a current limited output at 1ma. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier.
