One of the problems with molds and fungus is the toxin poisoning creeps up on you gradually, so you don't even realize you are getting sick until it's too late. The toxins do terrible damage to your health, and shut down various body functions one by one. When it does finally dawn on you that something is seriously wrong, you are too sick to think clearly. I have been to many doctors, including a world-renouned environmental specialist here in Ottawa. He had no clue. The only thing he wanted was to get me to sign up for an expensive series of tests to determine if I had been exposed to mold toxins. I already knew the answer, so I declined. Mold spores are everywhere. I have read studies where a typical environment contains enough spores so that you inhale 75 million spores per hour. Most people are not affected by moderate exposure, and can flush the toxins away without ill effect. I figured something had happened to make me more sensitive and unable to handle the toxins. I knew the toxins affected the immune system, so I searched for something that would help boost it. There are plenty of herbs that might help, but I am not familiar with them. Garlic seemed promising, so I started experimenting and found it did indeed help. It has two side-effects; a strong breath odor, and it shuts down your digestion when taken in large amounts. But it got me to the point where I was able to start functioning again, and can look for other solutions. Your suggestion of homeopathics is a good one. I'll see if there are any here in Ottawa who are familiar with the problem. Thanks! Best Regards, Mike Monett -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
