If you right-click the entry in the "from" header of your recieved messages, you
should get a drop-down menu that includes "copy address" among the choices.
If you copy and paste, it should give you an address that will work unless it's
been manipulated for anti-spam purposes.
You shouldn't need all this mail traffic to do what you're trying to do.
