Sorry, Peter Clarke is the reporter who wrote the title. He is not an
engineer or a scientist, who would be horrified to have that term
associated with their work.
See the International System of Units, or SI-Units, which define the
terms and usage of engineering units:

The term "amperage" is not among them.
