Jim,
DO NOT put CS in your fish pond!  It WILL kill your fish.  I don't have
personal experience with this, but through the years on this list the topic
has come up a number of times.......and each time someone did it, fish were
lost.  I don't remember all the details as to why, but I would recommend try
some of the other suggestions (plants, straw bundles) instead, to relieve
your algea problem
