We have determined that Colloidal silver will "plate out" .....on
gold bridges, crowns, etc... quite rapidly. The initial appearance
yields a bronze X silver cast, visually. Beyond the cosmetic effect, no
detrimental circumstance presented----that we could determine.
Additionally, colloidal silver demonstrated to plate out on conventional
silver/mercury amalgams.....in some cases to the extent of
"sealing-over" small fractures in the filling body. There was a direct
corollary between the strength (ppm)and the degree/speed of
manifestation. Unfortunately, no effort was made to determine the
particulate versus ionic percentages of any of the CS solutions.
Therefore, I have no comment to introduce relating to this consideration.
For those individuals finding this occurrence (silver-induced
discoloration) disturbing, we instituted a simple protocol convention
involving low percentage hydrogen peroxide [3.5 - 6%](as a
briefly-retained wash), together with simultaneous mechanical friction
(rubbing, brushing with high-surface contact devices/cloths)....to
remove the silver fraction from their gold crowns----quite effectively
in the majority (90%)of cases. This removal protocol does require
several days....as it is progressive in nature.
Caution: At 6% strength, H202 is a mild tissue-burner; therefore
was not retained beyond 30 second time periods. While no permanent
damage resulted....in any case....from more prolonged retention,
individuals presenting with any type of mouth lesion/abrasion were
sometimes challenged by the extent of the temporary stinging
discomfort. Sincerely, Brooks Bradley.

Hi CS'rs,
This may sound odd but, does anyone know if CS can be changed or
effected by swishing around in your mouth if you have metal fillings?
