OK. I have a Silver Puppy and will produce a couple of batches following those directions. >From half of that batch I'll Steam Distill to 50%. I'll then ask Robert B to test 3 batches 1. The product from the Silver Puppy 2. The Steam Distillate that has been reduced to 50% of volume 3. The Steam Distillate that has been collected as the condense.
I am not sure of the value of concentrating CS is. Seems most reports are that CS should be diluted. However there was the posting on adding concentrated CS to paint for anti-fungal and I have a lot of painting coming up. Secondly, As a herbalist I'd like to see if CS as any - even short term - preservative qualities. On the web I read that Cayenne and CS make a good combination. So I was wondering if an Cayenne Alcohol CS tincture/extract would be feasible? I just ran out of DW so I'll start the project Monday.
