Hi Donna ~ If this person rescues, she needs to be making her own CS, as it is invaluable for use with rescue animals. CS should work for kennel cough, tho when fostering dogs and pups from the local animal shelter, we weren't CS users and found that raw grated carrots (or 25,000 IU beta carotene every other day), small amounts of finely minced garlic, 500 mg. ester C, and 200 IU of vitamin E took care of it. Tho I think the kelp we add to their diets also helped as well. Worst dog lost his cough in 4 days, tho we continued to treat for a week.
Our homeopathic vet advised the only dogs he has ever seen that have come down with kennel cough are those that HAVE been vaccinated...
