Greetings Silver List denizens, I believe a safety reminder is in order. As a recent example:

At any given moment there will almost always be new people reading who do *NOT* have any background knowledge of the subject matter. When giving specific advice it is imperative to assume that some of the audience knows very little and include all reasonable warnings, cautions and disclaimers to make sure people don't make any mistakes. Whenever we talk about electrical devices more energetic than small batteries, remind folks that electricity can kill and not to mess with it unless they have the training and/or experience to know how. When recommending DMSO, mention dilution ratios, always, since undiluted DMSO is rarely if ever used full strength. When mentioning Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2), similarly mention the dilution ratios so no-one is tempted to use 35% food grade peroxide directly on tissues, thus causing severe injury. And so on. We talk about many things that, if basic precautions are not taken, can be harmful. Let's take proper care that the people who will benefit from our sharing are also protected from their ignorance.
