I used to use the Maple Leafs (still do) but some times have several batches
on
in the US you can get silver rounds (pure silver like Maple Leafs) but
usually 1/2 the price
I think it is 1 oz but do not quote me for 4 to 5$ at some coin stores
Got mine at coin store at flea market
My 2 Maple Leafs are at 1/2 original thickness, but my machine is one that
switches polarity
For other batches I use a current limiters that come in assorted ramnges
from a fraction of a ma and up
They lower voltage automaticly to reach rated current rateing.
I bought some at 1/2 MA but have not tryed them yet for the low current
batches.

I use two Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins, (.9999) pure silver, Or
(.9999) Pure Bullion Silver ...do not let the alligator clips get wet, I
use 12 ga .999 silver wire with a twisted connection, to lower coin / ingot
into Distilled water, (don't solder)
in a drilled hole in coin.....this will last you for yr.. Suspend coins
from top with drilled hole in a plastic lid.

by Synergenesis?"

I have the Colloid Master AC and am happy with it. To start with it was

slower than I had thought, but it does makes clear silver. To speed up the

process I am using a mug warmer with the distilled water filled carafe on

top with a deep wooden top (to stop the electrodes moving) with slits in it

for the electrodes.

I am having problems sourcing replacement flat electrodes in my home town of

Christchurch, New Zealand. I have priced them from the manufacturer and

they are rather expensive when you add in shipping and the currency

exchange. For that reason alone it would have been better to have bought

another brand. I am wondering if I could use the round electrodes I bought

for the 3 x 9v battery model I used earlier?
