  Robert,

The 1x6's would be ideal. Thanks for your kind offer. I will try to
return them unharmed, and would appreciate your critical analysis of
the procedures. Everything will be posted to the list - the
schematics in ascii and the Pascal source code. The pretty pictures
will go on my web site.

The system will be totally automated and will determine the cutoff
points by itself, so all I have to do is set it up, add water, and
  push the start button.

I plan on making many calibration runs to wring out the entire
system, starting with the classical 3 nines setup.

I will try different current densities, and will work with 425 ml
volume except for Godzilla. Darned thing won't fit in a small glass.

There are many variables to consider, such as diffusion rate
affecting the spacing, different dw, etc. I will try as many as
possible that make sense. Suggestions are welcome.

I do not know how far I will get. I have been unable to work since
the mold headaches started several years ago. I am out of money, and
have given my landlord notice that I can no longer pay the rent. I
have six weeks to live, then will lose everything.

The good news is Analog Devices responded to my plea about the bad
url on their site. It is too late to cancel the AD7988's, but they
are sending two AD7791's. They should arrive next week. The circuit
is really simple - anyone can make it. It should be up and running
  very quick.

I will keep enough money aside to return the plates. Thanks!

Best Regards,

Mike Monett
